Ming's Satay, Malacca

Was travelling from North till South last few days...
Was pretty tiring.

While on the way back from Johor, my family and I managed to pit stop in Malacca for a quick bite.
Dad wanted to eat satay so we head to Ming's Satay which located nearby Mahkota Parade, sort of next to Newton's foodcourt.

What so special about the satay is, they served pork!
Besides pork, they do serve chicken as well...
Also, pig's intestine, pork liver...
Each sticks cost 60sen...
For their nasi impit per plate is RM1 (i think?)
For the onion and cucumber, 50sen/plate...

The sauce, according to my dad, it's made with pineapple and starfruits, that's why it will taste sourish...
When bite the pork, can feels the juicy taste from it...
Yummy!
It's quite hard to find pork satay in KL, so I guess for now, head over to Malacca town for one first!

After the satay round, we head to Newton Food Court for Oh Chien @ fried oyster with eggs..
The oysters serve are big enough for you to spot them...
Not so oily yet chewy too...
Big cost RM12/plate good enough for everyone to share!

Sorry about the pictures, not sure why my phone camera not cooperating well...
Shall I get D3000?
Hah... pawn myself!

Boston Cafe, Sunway

I had such a healthy Saturday last weekend...
Woke up early in the morning to have some exercise...
Met up my friends in Sunway Mentari for group up...
Was raining...
Hence, we went for breakfast.

My friend brought us to Boston Cafe...
Another style of "kopitiam" but the interior design of it, pretty nice though...

We've ordered our breakfast meals...
Most of us having different type of toasts...

Our cutleries settings by the waitress....

Italiannies Restaurant, 1Utama

My eldest sister was in town...
So my dad planned to bring her to a place that she never been before...
So he suggested to be in Italiannies.

I'm not a big fan of Italiannies as I had once before in The Curve, it was not great meal...
So, was kind of afraid to dine in there.

We know that the portion of the meals are quite big...
So we chose, a Salmon Pasta, a Lamb Shank and a Classic Pizza an 2 bottomless Ice Lemon Tea (tasted bit like plum juice though..)

We enjoyed our meal..
Extremely full too!

So least, for my this experience, the 1Utama branch food qualities much better than The Curve...
However, I realized (not sure is it the manager) the lady don't look friendly too, walked passed our table and she's mumbling to a staff about his "slowness"...
Don't supposed to do that in front of customer.

Olive oil, Vinegar...

Minestrone Soup

Lamb Shank

Classic Pizza

Our bill, RM148...
Next time, should just cut off the pizza...
WE WERE BLOATED!

Yong Peng Fishball, Melaka Raya

Was in Malacca for work last 2 weeks...
So was hanging around with my dad...
One morning he brought me for breakfast at Melaka Raya Road.

He said the fishball are nice there...
So I gave it a try too.

You can choose the ingredients you want and you can have it either clear soup or curry soup...
I had the clear soup as I don't take curry...
They have 2 type of chillis, one is sambal and one is minced chili padi.

Azuma, Queensbay Mall

I was craving for sushi for months since I was in the jungle...
So told my mum that I wanted to have sushi as dinner...
My youngest sister was in Queensbay...
So we went over and met her.

She recommended us to have Azuma as she said it nicer yet quite expensive...
I looked at the menu near the entrance...
It was about the same price as other sushi restaurant...
So we headed in.

The interior are pretty good...
We sat next to the area that those chef make sushi (no idea what that place call)..
We grabbed some sushi off from the rail... (is that what they called?)
I was quite surprised that my favourite INARI is RM4/plate...
IT'S EXPENSIVE!
But for the other's pricing it's fair alright.

They currently running August Promotions...Salmon~~~
My mum and sis shared the Shake Butter Yaki Set which is RM18 (n.p. RM32)
And me, choose Teriyaki Chicken Set from the menu which is RM18 as well.

I'm very happy with the set I've ordered, it's superb tasty!
My set came with one bowl of rice, salad (yummy), chicken teriyaki (about 6-7pcs..), miso soup, fruits and the steamed eggie(forgot what the japs called...)
Compared to the Salmon set, a bowl of rice, 2pcs of salmon (cut half from one piece), a miso soup, a salmon salad.
It's enough for 3 to share as we ordered extra 2 bowls of rice which one bowl is RM2.

Tasty tasty!!!
I sure gonna miss it when I back to KL as for RM18 I got the whole Chicken Teriyaki set of items I luv! Marvelous!

We had, 2 Blues (RM4/plate), 5 Greens (RM3/plate) and 3 Green Teas (not sure how much one...)

Total Bill: RM75.90

Good meal!

I did snapped some pictures but I not sure which folder I transfered to or did I accidently deleted it.

However, I managed to find the August Promotion flyer...

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND THE STANDARD OF THE FOOD!!!

Coffee Ritual, Seksyen 14, PJ ...again!

Was sending my pup for grooming last week...
So since I'm there... I got a chance to rest and relax!
Went into Coffee Ritual, knew what I wanted to order.

It's my 4th visit to the cafe...
So why this time I want to blog about?

As the 2nd, I went with my ex-superior for (running away from stress and work)...
As I heard the Crepe in Coffee Ritual are marvelous, so I gave it a tried.

3rd time when with my dear after went shopping at the Digital Mall...
Ordered the Turkey Ham Crepe again,as it became my favourite tea-time meal!

So this time is the 4th time visit... yet, I was being informed that since I've ordered a soup, a crepe (Set) why not add up to get free dessert?

Sounds good to me....
So, I had, mushroom soup with bun (yummy!), Turkey Ham Crepe with Honey Ice and also Ice-Cream..(supposingly I asked for plain crepe but I was too full!!!)

My bill, was just RM20.90...

Foong Yuen Seafood Restaurant, Jerantut

Jungle Jungle...
Been in the jungle for a month now...
Hardly I could get Chinese food here...
Malay town at Kuala Tahan...
It takes 1 hour car drive to go out to the "larger" town.

True enough, the people there are much much nicer, friendly and helpful compare to well, the big city...
Best part, some of the shops, you seek 10 items, you might found 9 of it in the same shop...
Save lots of time too!

So, I managed to find a Chinese Restaurant nearby Jerantut's BIGGEST HYPERMARKET...(not as big as Tesco though...)
I did went to the restaurant the 2nd week I was in Taman Negara, and honestly I do not like the "chu yau char" eventhough it's from a part of PIG...
I accidently bite on one when I was having the Hokkien Noodle...
Mmmmmmmm... crunchy crunchy...
Eventhough I did ate in KL, but the one in FOONG YUEN RESTAURANT, splendid!

So, since I was out to town with my dad for dinner...
Told him that I want to head back to Foong Yuen.

This round...
We ordered few dishes and we ate 2 bowls of rice each!
Is it because I TOO LONG DIDN'T EAT PORK?
No.. the food were good, except the Roasted Duck, eventhough the skin were crispy, but the meat was dried, should be placing in the oven before serve?

We had "Sai yeung choi soup" supposed to be slow cooked method soup but I guess, it's just boiled as the vege was kind of tough...

We ordered the Wild Boar fillet as I never tried on that before...
Tendered! But my dad's friend said that should ordered ginger and spring onion style instead of curry as we can't taste the real wild boar meat as been covered by the powder... true.

Had my favourite kangkung belacan (hardly get eat it now due to slow digestion...) pretty good just now spicy enough...

The waitress recommended us to have the River Prawn, hoh, that's sweet and quite a big piece and yet, it's order by pieces and 1 piece is about 200gm!

We ain't sure how much was the bill as my dad's friend paid it for us...
Estimated about RM71-78 as I saw how much was the changed... hehehe...

Trip To Bandung

My trip to Bandung, well, not as good as I expected..
Due to I not a shopaholic nor like crowded places that much....
I was having diarrhea for 3 days, not sure is it because the spiciness or the dirtiness of the food/area.

I can't really get nice delicious food as I've lost my appetite after I had a good lunch and dinner on the 2nd day but the 3rd day I fallen sick, so can't enjoy much of it.

Till today, I haven't get back my appetite yet and even tummy not feeling that well yet.
Should I be happy over it as I wanted to lose some weight....
Guess not, it's HOLIDAY! I should be enjoying instead of walking like a dead dog...

For my this page...
I will only post up the pictures which I enjoyed during the period of my stays...
As it's consider, my recommendation as well.

I arrived at night on the 28th...
The next day we got to visit Kawah Gunung Berapi...
Got to see how's a volcano look like (minus the hotty lava....) and also the gassy smoke which is poisonous...
It's quite a chilling morning, and a nice trip to visit over there.

Down the hills...
We went over to Pasar Baru for some shopping...
We manage to stop by to grab lunch at the food court...
Heh!
We found a Chinese shop so we manage to get some PORK!

I wanted to try on Bakso long time ago... but normally its served with beef so I dun get the chance to have bite...
This time, I can have it in Fish Bakso...
Yummy!
Shared the kuey teow goreng and kueyteow goreng mee (their mee is like our wantan mee!)
Mum ordered mee suah sop as well...
We had a good lunch...
Funny thing is...
My dear ordered a bottle of Coke... and it's only RP1000.... it's only about RM0.40sen!
Can't remember how much is the bill, it's about RM20 plus.. and it's good!
We ordered Sate ayam and kambing as well, with the sauce together on it... it's way too good!

Teh Tawar a.k.a Indonesian "Chinese" Tea...

Jus Guava, Jus Jeruk (our limau@orange) and bottle of Coke

After lunch and all...
We were rushed to attend a wedding function (which was supposed the main reason why we travelled to there....)
Didn't really got to see much of the ceremony...
Not long later..
We head back to our hotel for rest.

My dear and I went out to look for dinner...
And found a place which sort of packed with people...
If I'm not wrong the place is called "Nagora"...
They famous for Ikan Bakar...
Most of their "fishes" are placed at the container to choose with prices stated...
Believe me, the price are not expensive as we get in KL...
Even their scallops, is only RM1 per stick (4-5pcs)...
It's good!

We ordered Cap Cay.. (mixed vege)
It's really really really delicious, even Chinese Restaurant can't really get that taste...
For our fishes, we got Angel Shark, Pari, one type of fish which I forgot the name and the scallop...
We packed back another piece of pari and baby shark...
Our total bill RM21....

Very the "dai" as we used to say when it's worth to eat...
Even the chili to goes with it...it's marvelous!

Candle Light Dinner...

Cap Cay

Our Fishes....

We thought of going back there for another round dinner...
But due to I was down with diarrhea, so can't really have the last round there...
Sorry for "sou heng" ya dear.... :(

So basically...
My trip was just average....
Letting me realized that.... I miss Thailand and even my own Country....
It's really congested and maybe because I was not feeling well that's another reason why I not enjoying the trip.

It's recommended to those who loves shopping very very much and for food wise, really need to know where to hunt it.

But I was having fun during flying back from Bandung...
In the plane, I really got a crappy companion....
Had a good laugh.

Missile Launched.
